Las Vegas Match Plays Explained

 

One of the most popular promotions in Las Vegas are match plays. Match plays are simply that, you will get a match to your bet. So for example if you have a $25 match play, you will take the token or comp slip for the match play to a table game that offers even money bets (roulette, craps, blackjack etc). For a $25 match play you will place the match play token on the bet along with $25 in chips of your own money. This makes a total of a $50 bet. If you win, you get your $25 back that you bet plus the even money $50 for the win, for a total of $75. 

Current ways to get match plays:

1. The Las Vegas Advisor has several match play coupons ranging from $10 to $50. Membership to the Las Vegas Advisor is currently $50 per year, but the coupon book that comes with membership will pay for itself multiple times over. 2. Boarding Pass Promos. A few casinos offer boarding pass promotions. If you fly into town save your boarding pass and take to the players club. 

  A. El Cortez: Offers a $25 match play that is only eligible on blackjack. Included in this promo is also some free slot play and a free drink. Note this promo only accepts paper printed boarding passes. Valid up to 72 hours after landing. 

  B. Golden Gate Casino offers a $50 match play if you fly Allegiant Airlines. 

  C. The D Casino offers a $50 match play if you fly Southwest or Spirit Airlines. 

3. Influencer Promotions. There used to be much more of these social media/influencer promotions that can also get you a free match play. Currently the only one I know of is at Circa Casino with the "Say Hi To Matthew" promo. Simply go to the players club and tell them you want to do the "Say Hi To Matthew" promo. 

Some casinos offer what can be called a slot match play. They may simply call it free slot play, but it in fact a slot match play. You have to play X amount of money through a slot machine with your player's card inserted in order to receive the same amount in free slot play. A few of the Las Vegas Advisor coupons work like this. Eureka casino just east of the Sahara casino on Sahara Avenue offers a sing up bonus for new players that is a $25 slot match play, even though their advertising says free slot play, you must play $25 in order to get the $25 in free play.
