Should I bring my kids to Las Vegas?

Kids and Las Vegas is a major point of contention for some people. Contention doesn't do it justice. People will argue until their blue in the face what other people should do with their children. There’s a reason it’s called Sin City. So please be sure that you understand what they may see, hear, or experience while in town. Partial nudity can often be seen with buskers on the street or the showgirls that roam around. Do you want them to see an old fat man wearing nothing but a diaper or a G string? The smell of pot abounds nearly everywhere and because it is Vegas, you never know what they may see or hear at any given moment. Yes, you could even see a homeless man masturbating on the sidewalk like we did on the Flamingo Road sidewalk beside what is now the Horseshoe. Note that Las Vegas is consistently listed in the top 5 human trafficking cities in the country. So keep an eye on the kiddos. If you are comfortable with your kids seeing that type of stuff then more power to you. I'm not going to tell you how to raise your children. Personally I wouldnt take a kid, but I'm not going to preach that you shouldn't. Just please keep them quiet on the plane. Joking on that. Any flight can have noisy kids. It's what kids do when they fly.

In December 2023 a photo went viral that I’m pretty sure was one of the characters that roam the Las Vegas Strip. I was not able to track down the original owner of the image so I am hesitant to share without permission. However, if you google Minnie takes a smoke break, you’ll see what I’m talking about and can ask yourself if you want your kids hugging these characters and having their picture taken with them. Now with all of that said. The Mandalay Bay and MGM Grand pool complexes are really popular with kids. Excalibur has Tournament of Kings as well as the Mac King afternoon magic show that kids should enjoy and several properties have arcades and other attractions geared towards kids.
